The restaurant fills up quickly, so arrive early to avoid waiting and to secure a coveted table on the screened-in porch. In the afternoon and evening, Royal Treat becomes an old-fashioned ice cream parlor, serving ice cream floats, shakes and cones. The restaurant does not accept credit or debit cards, so be sure to bring cash or traveler's checks.

Dave and Skippy's is located across the street from Royal Treat on Wilmington Avenue. Visit this small deli for a quick meal of breakfast sandwiches, smoothies, wraps and hot or cold coffee drinks. In season, Dave and Skippy's opens at 7 a.m. and offers a kid's menu. Later in the day, visit Dave and Skippy's for a large selection of sandwiches and wraps for lunch.
